The Denver Nuggets are playing their first game of the season tonight against the Utah Jazz in
Players flop all the time and the officials always buy it. They make calls based on something they think they saw. They’ll make a call on one end of the court but not the same call on the other end. If they’re going to make bad calls, at least do it against both teams. They also do the same thing with the non-calls. It’s inevitable that the star of the other team loses the ball on the dribble and the guy on your team gets called for a foul. However, it takes the other team hitting your guy with a baseball bat before the officials call a foul.
I’m not saying the Nuggets are angels. I’m not saying they are always the victims of the bad and non calls but I shouldn’t be more frustrated watching an NBA game due to officiating than anything else. I should be frustrated seeing the sloppy defense or bad shots or anything like that. The NBA let’s referees decide the outcome of games more than any other sport.
